WHOA - Mike Babcock OUT | Sheldon Keefe IN

Hiring Babcock was the right move at the time. Giving him an 8 year contract wasn't (an 8 year contract is too long for any coach in this league, quite frankly), but, it was also probably the only way to get him signed.

Letting him go when they did was also the right move. Perhaps a few months later than it should have happened, but, hindsight and such.

As I watched the medals being handed out yesterday, including gold for the Hunter brothers (Dale for coaching, Mark for management) I found myself wondering who our head coach might have been if Shanahan had decided to go with Hunter instead of Dubas to replace Lou.

You'd have to think Mark wouldn't have made some of Kyle's moves and perhaps would have been more inclined to give Mike the kind of players he wanted. I wonder if that would have staved off the coaching change, or if that would have come to a head anyway, and if so, whether Mark would have turned to Keefe rather than finding an experienced NHL coach or perhaps brought Dale in. For that matter, I'm not sure Keefe would have re-signed and stayed on with the Marlies if Kyle wasn't at the helm...he might have been more interested in going elsewhere and looking for a NHL gig with some other team.

An interesting what-if exercise.

Sorry Hobbes, more Leafland disaster. Dubas and hence Keefe are the chosen ones. Let it be so. Let us pray. ;)

I'd say my biggest issue with what we've seen from the Leafs is they may be slightly more bipolar.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm a Schizophrenic.........and
So am I
Does it honestly require repeating that schizophrenia isn't multiple personality disorder?

It's a line from Bill Murray in 'What About Bob'. I got it Highlander.
Forgot about that one, I am a huge Bill fan.  A friend just texted me a great photo of Bill serving ups some shots, but don't know how to post it?  HELP?

You would need to use an image hosting site such as imgur, photobucket, or imageshack, or something similar.  You?ll need to open an account and may require a fee to join.  Some are free.

(I use ImageShack.  Was using Photobucket but now it has become way too pricey.).

Once you upload your photo(s) on the particular site, you will be able to post to forums, message boards, etc., with a link.  Not all allow one to embed or use a link but most do.

Hope this helps:

Progression and regression, declines & improvements:  How some Leafs are faring under Keefe and prior to, under Babcock.

Biggest gains went to Tavares, Mikheyev, Marner, & Matthews (as well Hutchinson).

The negatives went to Holl, Muzzin, and Andersen.
