2013-2014 NHL Thread

@AGretz

I wonder how many teams can get away with trading three players as good as Thornton, Kessel, and Seguin within a decade and still be a power

Not to mention losing Marc Savard.

They had their fair share of luck though too. With Thomas turning himself into a Vezina winner at such a late age and stealing their current future-Vezina winner from some other team.

Not to mention Chara turning into what he's become.

Imagine how different the sens history might have been had they chose Chara over Redden?

I've got a feeling that he's loving Dallas.

I just became a huge fan. Just wish those two helmet heads would move out of the way. Who are those guys anyways?

Looks like noted "friend of the Leafs", Canucks thug forward Zack Kassian, may be looking at a suspension for "accidentally" hitting Brenden Dillon from behind. The article also mentions the Luongo tweet.

Will Lou approve it though? That's key.

A good night for the Leafs playoff chances.

Montreal lost to Phoenix - Leafs are 3 points back with a game in hand
Colorado beat Detroit in OT - Leafs are 5 points ahead, Detroit has 2 games in hand
Chicago beat Columbus - Leafs are 5 points ahead, Columbus has 1 game in hand
Boston beat Washington - Leafs are 6 points ahead with no outstanding GP
Buffalo beat Tampa - Leafs are 1 point ahead, Tampa has a game in hand

This upcoming road trip is going to be pretty damn important.

Not to mention drafting the way they did between '03 and '07 will cover for a lot of flaws.

We were suppose to have a draft guru during those years.

Highly touted Russian prospect Evgeny Kuznetsov is expected to make his debut for the Caps on Monday.

Brian McGrattan scored from centre ice on Eddie Lack.  Vancouver...

Only goal he gave up, Van wins 2-1. Interesting note, Vancouver with just 14 shots on goal  :o

NYRangers netminder Lundqvist sets milestone with win #300.  A grateful Lundqvist thanked the home fans with this tweet:

Henrik Lundqvist  @Lundqvist30
Thank you guys for all the love and support! To reach 300 wins today was very special. let's keep it going..
:)

"King Henrik" can now look forward to two more records in a Rangers uniform -- he needs just one more win to tie former Rangers goaltender & Stanley Cup winner Mike Richter's record of wins, and, he needs another win to tie former Rangers netminder Ed Giacomin's franchise record of 49 shutouts.

Good luck #30!

Rich Peverley just collapsed on the Stars bench. Hope he is okay.

Yeah play has stopped altogether. Very unsettling situation; I'm hoping for the best for Peverley right now.

Good news. Lindy Ruff comes out of the hall way and says Rich Peverley is going to be ok
