Just settle things up with bats in the parking lot after the game. Enough of this weak "ball throwing" nonsense.

I think the way Bautista responds is the best, really. Don't play into it. Just let it keep costing Baltimore opportunities to win.

The problem is, they're still throwing at him so obviously not playing into it isn't working. What happens if Bautista gets hurt next time? Are we supposed to take solace in the fact that a few times the Jays cost Baltimore an opportunity to win? (Which, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't seem to matter- Baltimore keeps making the playoffs and the Jays keep losing).

Stroman threw at them last season and it's still happening.  Throwing a ball at 80-100 mph at a person is idiotic.  If they want to do it, let them be the idiots.

Stroman got suspended for it. Meanwhile they keep throwing at Bautista with impunity.

That's my point - Stroman hitting their player didn't even things up between the teams.  Baltimore's still doing it.  So Jays hit them, they hit Jays, Jays hit them, they hit Jays.  What's the point?  Grow up and move on, let them take the punishment for it and focus on winning.

Winning games isn't stopping it either.

I glanced briefly at Sanchez's line tonight and I wondered why they took him out after 5 and a third. Then my eyes moved across the page to the 7 under the walks column. Jays as a team really need to start cutting down on that.

They definitely do but Sanchez in particular has had major control problems his whole minor league career. He's going to have lines like that (and much, much worse) all this season.

I didn't watch the games but didn't hear of any Jays retaliation and they swept them, so doesn't seem like it affected the Jays much by not retaliating and nothing further happened.  Who knows if it's stopped for good.

Swept in Tampa Bay. Jays were tied for first in the division at the start of the series, now tied for last 2 games back. This division is going to be tight this year, at least.

Blue Jays hitting coach Brook Jacoby fined and suspended for 14 games following incident at Fenway Park last week:

Noah Syndergaard makes his much anticipated debut for the Mets tonight, just in case people wanted a reason to feel lousy.

Jays fans don't need to look very far for reasons to feel lousy.

As for Jay draft picks excelling in other markets, I see your Syndergaard and raise you a Jake Marisnick.

I'm not watching the game tonight, but does anyone know why Buehrle was yanked after giving up 2 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, only 78 pitches and a 6-2 lead? I buy Gibby's reasoning for doing it in the Yankee game, but here too?
