Jesus, somebody get this guy out of Montreal already.

I really don't get why he hasn't been traded for Duchene yet.

Dreger mentioned on 1040 that his sources are indicating that the Habs are not interested in Duchene at the price Sakic is currently bandying about.

Did you know that the 2004 NHL Lockout got me into probability math thanks to hours upon hours of Poker coverage?

This is what teams should probably figure out in advance with regards to challenging offsides on goals.

Maybe don't read it all in 4 minutes next time ;)

ATTN: Marc Bergevin and George McPhee

Nobody wants your garbage 6th defensemen

The Devils could probably use him as a 7th dman and to be a real good pro around his countryman Hischer, but MTL would probably have to pay a draft pick to get someone to take him.

46, 56 and then 60* (paced) point seasons the last 3 years.  Playing on the 4th line for a team that has scored 4 goals in 4 games.

Samuel Girard has 3 points in 2 NHL games so far this season. Alex DeBrincat seems to be fitting in just fine in Chicago's top-9 too, he has 3 points in 5 games.

Korshkov has 4 points in 20 KHL games this season.

edit: Oh, Victor Mete looks like a NHLer too. Hunter, with all his Knights connections, passed on him twice in the 3rd round where he was projected to go.

So, what you're saying is, Bergevin will definitely be considered for GM of the Year?

Absolutely.

(For those who don't know, on the day of the draft Bergevin traded the 39th and 45th overall picks away for Andrew Shaw. DeBrincat was picked 39th and Girard 47th.)

Although he did get Mete, but man that would have been some haul  if he got both those other two too. Phew!

The Leafs might have taken Mete with the next pick after the Habs.  Outside of Korshkov who was off the board, the Leafs other picks before Mete were Grundstrom, Woll, Greenway and Brooks, all of whom have had some positive things said about their development.  I guess if JD Greenway can turn into an NHLer it could mitigate the non picking of Mete since they're both D.

Not sure where to post this, but has anyone watched Ice Guardians on Netflix?

Mrs. Wigwal and I are about halfway through it and it's pretty enjoyable so far. I think it does a good job of celebrating what people love about fighting in hockey and also asks the tough questions about the consequences for the players and also the diminishing role of these types of players in the NHL.
