The isles just hammered Tampa in Tampa. Something isn't right there

That gives McBackup a 3-3-2 record with a 3.62 GAA and .898 Sv%.

Sparks is still worse with a 4.38 GAA and .857 Sv% though (in just 1 appearance).

Man, Dallas' record this season broken up into chunks:

1-7-1
14-1-1
2-3-1

Weird firing.

edit: Ah, it was because he's a dick.

You think it's a Bacock/Peters-esque thing? I suppose the two options are that or a Bobby Petrino sort of situation.

Man heads really started to roll after Babcock.

Tough to speculate. I would hope the NHL/Dallas is going to expand on the reasoning for this a little more, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, I suppose the reason I ask is because if it is a Babcock/Peters thing then it would show a pretty big change for the NHL where Peters was hit by a specific, and pretty damaging, accusation in the public and it still took a week for him to be allowed to resign.

If this was something that only people in Dallas knew about and they fired him before it got public then it would be a real sign that they're taking this whole issue of culture change seriously.

So from the sounds of this it isn't something that's player-related I guess.

All the Leafs back up goalies former and present are among the worse goalies in the league. McBackup wouldn't be the answer.

A reporter from a local FOX affiliate in Texas said it was a "material act of unprofessionalism" that had no connection with any past/present players.

The Stars were made aware on Sunday, investigated, and found basis for dismissal. Team officials say they can't discuss exactly what is was publicly.

I'm glad they gave us this timeline. I was wondering if this was something that happened months ago and they only decided to act now with all the attention coaches are getting.

I hope so.  I'm expecting it to be something like he bought stock in a weed company 6 years ago.
