2019-2020 NHL Thread

Anyone else see a pretty silly Winnipeg/Pittsburgh trade centered around Laine/Letang being a possibility?

Coyotes have been nothing but a shit show. I hope they want to dump salaries and the Leafs go after Kuemper. One for one for Freddie who would cost them 1 mill next year in actual dollars, so they'd save 2.5 this season and 5.5 in 21/22.

Good for Draisaitl, the Hart and the Ted Lindsay.

Josi and Hallebuyck first time winners as well, right?

So... uh... That Hornqvist deal might not even go through!

The former Marlie Sam Gagner re-ups with Detroit for a year.

Real polarizing player.

Would the Rangers consider dealing Lafreniere to Buffalo for Eichel?

They should. The conclusion of Bob's thread makes it seem like there's nothing to see here though. It's good to see Eichel apparently putting at least some pressure on Buffalo to start making improvements.

In a heartbeat. Lafreniere doesn't project to be as good as Eichel so it will cost the #1 plus to get him. I'd trade Marner for him.

Nothing's imminent but it's hard not to see this as the logical outcome of things we've been hearing for a while and just, you know, how crappy the Sabres are.

Funny thing is Lafreniere would be the perfect LW for Eichel to play with.

Ironically, this would be the perfect off-season for buffalo to pry some actual talent out of other teams or sign some needle-moving FAs and keep Eichel happy.

If it looks like they're not being aggressive this offseason, then that likely was the final straw for Eichel. Or it should be.

Maybe good time to push reset on rebuild in Buffalo.  Build around Lafreniere and Dahlin.

I'd have to think Buffalo would need a centre back as part of the package.  You know, someone to get Skinner the puck so that they can get out from under that deal.

If they dealt Eichel I think it would look bad for Buffalo for the next 2-3 seasons, Eichel is just turning 24 and I think he's probably ready to bust out even more than he already has.

They have Casey Middlingstats though

(they should try to get Tyler Bozak)

The thing I like about that is the Bruins absolutely could put together a competitive package for Eichel, they just have to include the things they have of real value.

lmao

There are also teams in the Atlantic division that could put together a significantly better package than that.
