Wow lots of Chicago player news all of a sudden

At least the most recent potential news didn?t take a decade to become public.
I still have no idea what's being referenced. Related to the coach accused of sexual assaults?

Nary a peep from the regular NHL insiders when the lawsuit story broke. Lots of excited chatter a few days later about Toews? fancy made-up syndrome and Keith willing to waive to go West to box out everyone?s timelines and mind space.

To be honest neither of those things had even crossed my mind compared to the scandal. I didn't even think about Toews or Keith. Brutal if these are coordinated press releases designed to take eyes away from what actually matters.

Toews acknowledges, he?s probably a COVID long-hauler, having had all the telltale signs of a particularly nasty bout with COVID-19 back in February 2020, before the pandemic had consumed life in the United States.

Jeebus:

Lt. Jason Meier of the Novi Police Department said a mortar-style firework tilted slightly and started to fire toward people nearby. Kivlenieks was in a hot tub and fled along with several other people, but he slipped and hit his head on concrete, Meier said.

So many stupid accidents because of fireworks.

There was another report that said he was hit by a firework in his chest.

It?s honestly amazing how many people get injured by fireworks because they don?t know how to set them up properly.  Between that and the PTSD population who struggle with these unanticipated fireworks I?m really think they should be done away with altogether.  People with PTSD can prepare for a scheduled show at 9PM on a major holiday when out on by the city.  Stop letting people blow limbs off because they don?t understand explosives explode

I like fireworks and have seen some incredible fireworks shows but I've also never said something like "this night was ruined because there weren't any fireworks" so they don't strike me as necessary. Especially in this day and age where fireworks at gender reveal parties end up burning down half of California or whatever it was.

Just terrible.

I think CBJ may want to rethink the cannonfire after goals.

Do they still do that?
