You know what fanbase is annoying? That group of fans that don?t seem to be fans of any specific team but are a fan of continuously mocking the leafs and their fans.

I'm also a fan of:

Fan A: Isn't it great that <Team X> and <Team B> are in the Cup Final
Fan B: Yeah Stupid Leafs didn't make it.  1967
Fan A: Yeah the Leafs suck
Fan A&B: There we go, the Leafs aren't even involved and they are being brought up.

Here in Ottawa I love that their fanbase culture is:
A:  Hate the Leafs first.
B:  Love the Senators second.
C:  Strong dislike for the Canadiens third.

Also, all sens fans over 35 or so used to be Hab of Leaf fans.

I'm not even sure loving the Senators is in the top 3.

This made me laugh because it's probably true.

Melnyk hate is in there somewhere.

Small note but this confirms that Marner is still eligible to come off of LTIR immediately after the Christmas break (or whenever the Leafs next game ends up being). Of course we haven't heard much about his recovery with everything else going on so tough to say where he's at with that.

Do Spezza?s games count against his suspension too? (Unless he?d missed his 4 already?)

He's missed 4 games, so he'll be eligible to return whenever the next one is. But if his suspension hadn't been reduced then no he would still have needed to serve another 2 actual played games.

I'm assuming the same thing will happen with the Leafs but with the Raptors tickets that got recalled sometimes ended up back on the sellers market with price tags way higher than they were originally purchased.  Nothing like MLSE doing a little bit of scalping.

If they don't pause the season through the point that the vast majority of players are cleared out of precautions the integrity of the season is really questionable.  It's bad enough that you had teams playing with skeleton lineups before the shutdown. Let players clear out of quarantine and then start the season back up.

Agreed in total, we have the Junior Championship for our hockey fix this next week. Delay into the New Year and get everyone out of lockdown, we have the Olympic time to make up for lost games.

They don't necessarily have the Olympic time to make up games. A lot of arenas are booked with other events during that time... It's going to be a mess to figure out.
