He?s been doing this but for awhile and scored a huge bite tonight.

Pretty interesting situation the Oilers have right now with Connor Brown, who is now pointless in 7 games to start the season and has been on the ice for zero 5-on-5 goals for but four against. He only lasted 2 games on McDavid's line despite their past (junior) history seemingly being a big reason he ended up there.
As the above tweet notes, Brown has a very tricky signing bonus dilemma coming up for Edmonton. He earns a $3.225mil bonus, which would bring his total AAV up to $4mil, by playing in his 10th regular season game. Edmonton will be unable to take most if not all of that signing bonus onto this year cap accounting so it will be kicked down the line to the 24/25 season.
The question that needs asking though is would it even be worth it for the Oilers to play Brown in that 10th game given his current play, or do they just cut ties and waive him before that to avoid a $3.225mil charge in 24/25 player?
Brown was no better then Kerfoot before he got hurt. He's not that good and to tie a bonus like that to his contract is stupid. Oilers need to send him down or flat out cut him. I hope they don't tho.Zee said:CarltonTheBear said:https://twitter.com/JFreshHockey/status/1717636469987107210

I really think they're gonna cut him. Guess he's not fully recovered from the surgery OR he might never be the same he was before the injury. He needs that extra step and hustle for his game so if it's not there he's just not effective. Kind of sucks for him, but Oilers are going to do what makes sense for the team, and putting that cap hit for next season on a guy that isn't performing just doesn't make sense.
Holland lost his mojo a long time ago.bustaheims said:The Oilers are a bit of a mess in general right now, so who knows what they'll do. Kenny Holland seems like he's asleep at the wheel half the time.

That was their latest game vs CHI. Clayton Keller's line ended up -1 on the night lol.
The Durzi goal was part of a 5-4 loss to the Kings, who put up 4 unanswered in the final two frames.

Oh shoot! My mistake...I should have paid better attention...Michael Carcone, he of 37 NHL games at age 27, scored a hat trick!
