I have to say, I find it hilarious how you screwed up this quote and it is now attributed to Nik.

I'm preparing my libel case as we speak.

Please explain how you feel Shanahan is a trailblazer. Provide examples and citations.

The Leafs have never had a President named Brendan before. That says this TEAM is on the right TRACK.

Besides he played Lacrosse growing up. Hello ::)

I don't think your traditional logic is going to work against a random moving target, guys.

Or you know, discussions just naturally and freely evolve.

There's natural discussion evolution where a topic expands into another topic, and then there is willfully not addressing anything raised in counter to your opinion and deliberately arguing an unrelated point and then rolling your eyes smugly. I think we'd all like to happily avoid what happened to you in your previous forum (yeah, I read a lot of it). PM me if you want to discuss this further, TBLeafer.

That is not the Official Forum and now I know why those Official Forum misfits couldn't get by on the Official Forum.

A friend of mine from the Official Forum created another forum in which I get by just fine.  :)

Also made of select official forum members, but sadly there are only a handful that were saved before that official forum went down.

The creator wants to keep it low key and doesn't advertise or have ads so it isn't easy to find.

He is the admin and made me the sites only mod.

No need for me to PM you.  :)

You know where the Leafs have been blazing some trails? I think it's with the Marlies and getting them into Toronto for the easy paper transactions for Cap management. Other teams are clearly following suit there.

How does wearing a crocodile on his shirt make him an authority on toughness?

I can't speak to the use of paper transactions but I think the Flyers had their AHL team in Philadelphia or effectively local since the 90's.

Oh sure. I guess Crocodiles and Alligators are exactly the same. ::)

Crocodiles are bigger, tougher and meaner than Alligators and Caimans are the wimpy runts.  ::)

Ah you're right. The Phantoms were in Philly for much of the 90s, and are now in Lehigh Valley. I don't think they needed to do paper call-ups prior to the Salary Cap era.

Yeah, like I said, I don't really know much about how those transactions work or if there's a real difference between the AHL team being in the same city or an hour away in regards to their use.

For those in-season transactions, the called-up or sent down player must report to the team.
