This is the prototypical game showing what goaltending can do for a team.  The leafs have no business being in this game let alone being up 4-1.  The Jackets must feel like kicking their cat right about now.

They'd probably miss...

;D

Schenn 6.37 of ice time tonight and a -1.

Komisarek is the next least ice time with 12.59 and is +3. Gunnarson and Phaneuf are both over 16 minutes

But isn't that just an illustration of the lousiness of the +/- stat? Schenn didn't look bad or cause the goal against. I actually thought he looked pretty good on the play.

Am I right in thinking that the puck has to be in over the line before the player?

Nash skated in backwards, body first, which should've been offside, no?

Not if you're in full control of the puck

I'm pretty sure the puck carrier coming in skating backwards is an exception to the rule.

Scrivens+scoring efficiency+no goals on the pk have been the keys today...

Columbus should probably give this York kid a few starts to see what he's got. He hasn't been tested much tonight, but he's come up with some nice stops when he's had to.

It certainly should be anyways. What sort of purpose would a rule against skating in backwards serve.
