Sure, those are his weaknesses. But he also has strengths. He's been, to my mind, the superior of the two goalies in terms of playing the puck. He's got great reflexes and a knack for making some great saves.

I've gotta disagree with you there - I've always felt one his his biggest weaknesses in playing the puck, and it's something he tries to do more frequently than he should. Reimer's not great with it either, but, he seems to recognize his limitations in that area more than Gustavsson does and, because of that, makes less mistakes with it.

What I've noticed from Reimer is a real hesitancy, as you say, to make plays with the puck and as a result he does tend to chose not to make as many plays as he could. From what I've seen, I think Gus' approach has been more beneficial to the defensemen and moving the puck in general.

It's not a huge edge, I'd give Gus a C to Reimer's C- but I think the edge exists.

The most interesting scenario would be if Scrivens got a SO, and would get continue to play and do it well, what would happen then?

He'd be sent down when Reimer comes back much like what happened when Reimer last year when he started strong but the Leafs still had Gustavsson and Giguere under contract.

I think it depends on what the team sees as Reimer's role going forward. If Reimer's still a guy who they want to play 60-65 games then I don't know how much sense it'd make to have Scrivens benchwarming for him. If, however, they want to go 1a/1b and Scrivens clearly establishes himself as the better choice for 1b then it'd be decision time with Gus.

Kulemin has looked strong on the boards/with the puck early on.  He's made a few plays using his strength to win puck battles.

The Leafs PK was pretty ugly there though.  Columbus' best chance happened because the forward and defensemen went chasing after the man with the puck in the corner and it left both defensemen open at the point.
