Game 33: Kings at Leafs - Dec 19th 7pm SNETO (OTL3-2)

Ah, the slumping team comes in and plays well against the Leafs! Slump busters!

Of course, the game is far from over and it is still close after the ice seemed to be tilted towards the Leafs end that period.

They need to play a much better 3rd period.

Well so far they're up by 1 on a goal that bounced off the glass to a wide open King in front, and on a goal that should have been blown dead.

Lots of shots in the 2nd, but not many great chances, and pretty fortunate to be ahead.

Phaneuf how hard can it be to hit the net?

But he shoots it really hard.  Wasn't he more effective with his shot when he didn't try and shoot it through the boards?

Let's get some positivity in here people. Leafs will have a big 3rd period and win this one going away.

Kypreos says the goal was onside, not offside. What was he looking at the same replay we all saw. That's not where it was out if it was Nick.

What a disastrous 2nd period.

Seems like something of an overstatement when it's a one goal game.

But the Kings are 67-0-4 when leading going into the 3rd, which is a perfect record beginning at a completely arbitrary point back in 2009.

Kings are 67-0-4 when leading after 2. I'm gonna go with "the law of averages" here.
Not sure why the Leafs commentators were quoting that stat with several minutes left in the period and the Leafs on the PP, but oh well, we'll see if it holds up now.
