3 times already that puck has been in our net.

Stupid Reimer. A real man would grit through the pain and play.

Lets not be trivial.  We both know in this day and age athletes play through less pain than in prior eras.

Anyone who is still in Gus' corner....why?  He has shown the same lack of confidence since he came to the NHL.  He doesn't position himself well.

Because he has the potential to develop an elite skillset and has experienced a tsunami of issues.

He gets run over well though, eh?

I just can't agree.  Elite skill set comes from having great positioning.  Gus doesn't know where he is on the ice, he loses the post way too quickly.

Elite skillsets come from development and ice time given there is potential to begin with and Goose has that. It's a dice roll, he might not ever develop it but you are being extremely and somewhat unfairly critical of the Leafs back up goalie, I'd like to see the same, rational approach to Reimer's play, then we'll talk.

They're going to call that now?  Come on, that same thing has happened about 10 times both ways already.  Don't call the knocking over of the goalie, but call the ridiculous "stick up close to his hands" thing.

There's a difference between 'knowing' your angles and 'knowing your angles by instinct', Jonas needs work, no doubt, but you're piling on the back up ffs and it's 1-0, honestly what do you expect?

Why am I not seeing this critique of Reimer en masse either, he's had his share of issues but somehow gets a pass, la vie en blue et blanc? Maybe a 'grass is greener', not sure.

Reimer sports a career .920 save percentage.  He is obviously better than gus.

Gus wasn't brought over as backup, I feel I can pile up on him as I see fit.

Leafs get a PP, then take two quick penalties.  Not good.

Right, same rational approach, applause!

Goose is the back up, deal with it.

Good luck with the waiver wire.

Honestly, not likely to be in an issue. He had a good game against Philly, but, outside of that, he hasn't looked better than the types of goalies other teams have as their backups already - except for maybe Columbus, who don't have the cap space to fit him in.

At half price? I dunno...

He won't last the season if this keeps up.

If what keeps up, robbing with his glove after a good pad save?
