GDT - 8 game road trip - Oct. 26th 7:30 @ Hamilton

The officiating was a real joke tonight, not just for a disallowed Marlie goal. Quite questionable calls in favour of OKC, it was like 20 minutes playing shorthanded, a shot which Rynnas stopped, but referees thought otherwise etc., etc. No surprise Eakins and some veterans (Aucoin) used abusive language. I was too. Anyway, despite all this referees effort Marlies have beaten Edmonton Oilers. And Holzer delivered a monstrous hit. Looking forward to hearing post game interviews.

Final game of this long road trip tonight. The Marlies play in Hamilton at 7:30pm. Rynnas was supposed to start tonight but sustained a minor injury in practice this morning so Scrivens will play instead. Abbott returns to the line-up after missing a few games with an injury. His line with Aucoin and Komarov was just starting to heat up when he got hurt, so here's hoping they can continue that success. Here's the rest of the line-up:

Komarov ? Aucoin ? Abbott
Kadri ? Colborne ? Scott
Hamilton ? Zigomanis ? D?Amigo
Deschamps ? Acton ? Ashton

Gardiner ? Kostka
Fraser ? Holzer
Ranger ? Gysbers

I can't find a link to a stream yet, but I'll check again around game-time.

Nice. The Marlies play 3-in-3 this weekend, so it'll be interesting to see how many he plays.

After #Marlies warm-up looks like Frattin could be skating with Kadri,Colborne. So..speculating lines: 87-11-15/12-7-8/29or9-14-18

Man I wish that line works.

The Bulldogs scored 3 unanswered in the first after Frattin opened the scoring. Scrivens not really helping himself out in the whole battle for starter thing.

Seems okay so far.

Hopefully the Marlies remember what their home rink looks like after this.

Toronto scored 2 goals to tie it after being down 3-1, but afterward Hamilton scored 2 plus an empty-netter to put the game away. Scrivens looked pretty so-so on both of Hamilton's late goals.

In 3 games in the month of November, Ben Scrivens is 1-2-0 with a 3.69 GAA and .866SV% #Marlies

His numbers since the first game look awful. Allowed 3 or more goals in 5 of his past 6 games. Save percentage of .874 in that span.

The Marlies have two more games this weekend. May as well continue using this thread for those ones. They return to Toronto for a rematch against Hamilton at 3pm. Frattin will not play tomorrow as Eakins doesn't want him playing 3-in-3. Expect a few more guys rotating in and out of the lineup for the next two games. Even ignoring his poor performace tonight, it's unlikely Scrivens starts. I'd expect Owuya on Saturday and Rynnas on Sunday.

A 5-3 road trip and winning 4 of the last 5 on that trip would have to be considered a successful one, especially this early in the season.  Seems Kadri is getting things going finally which is nice to see.  It looks like his healthy scratch has helped in that regard as he has 6 points in the 3 games since.  Scrivens struggling has to be concerning though.  Nice to see Frattin potting 2 is his first game back.

Hopefully it's of the Sportsnet stream and not the AHL Live one.
