Bernier not so good in this game despite only 2 GA.

Remember this game when people say Reimer gives up a lot of rebounds.  Bernier does too.

Bingo, he makes good saves, but he's primed for a softie per game and his rebounds aren't always great.

I'd take Reimer over him, Reimer is more of a scramble type goalie, but I think that's what they'll need as they won't be facing volume this year, it'll be quality over quantity.

That was an interesting interference play.  A full on hit throw at a guy who had never touched the puck.

It was on Komarov, right? Retaliation probably for the Subban hit, was wondering when that was going to happen.

It's been a typical Bernier game. Early goal, decent amount of rebounds, with some good saves in between. Then again, that's probably most goalies which doesn't exactly say much about Bernier.

He's a pretty average goalie who happened to start his Leafs career playing some of the best hockey he ever has, and when the fan base had soured on Reimer.

Babcock leads the league in successful coaches challenges and coach challenge percentage.

"Interesting dilemma for Mike Babcock, do you take your timeout now?"

Uh, 39 seconds left with a faceoff in the offensive zone?

I think that was a pretty good example of why the Leafs are going to be in so tough to win points this year. Even in games where they carry quite a bit of the play and keep things close, the key scoring chances are going to go to guys who aren't very good at putting the puck in the net.

My favourite part is when they start talking about how the mere continued presence of Carey Price causes players to screw up.

I get that the guy is amazingly talented, but the gushing is absolutely nauseating.

They have a french language feed, that let's be honest, is going to be biased in Montreal's favor.

Why the heck do they feel the need to fellate the Habs in English too?

JVR, Arcobello, Kadri, and Harrington led the Leafs in possession, all 4 were over 60% at even-strength. Bozak, Lupul, Holland, Phaneuf, and Parenteau were on the other side of things, all under 50%.
