There's the 3rd goalie we've been waiting for.
Jones had such a weird season with Seattle. Sparkling record (27-13-3), very medicore stats (0.887 Sv%). I didn't really have him on the radar as a possible 3G since he's probably a bit more of a waiver risk as opposed to someone like Brian Elliott, but if he does clear he's a solid asset to have in case of injury.

As 3rd string goalies go, he definitely is one.

Better option also equals a bigger waiver risk though, that's the only issue. There's still 2 teams right now without a serious back-up goalie option and that's Chicago and Tampa. Prior to this I figured the two remaining top UFA goalies, Halak and Jones, would each be ending up with one of them. A little surprised that didn't happen, although it still might.
When it comes down to it the Leafs might be better off trying to waive Jones at the very beginning of training camp as oppose to waiting until the end like they did with Dell.
