Apparently somebody jumped the gun on the Komets report. Their GM said that Toronto did discuss affiliating with them but that they could only take defencemen at this time, not forwards. So the Marlies don't actually have an ECHL affiliate right now. Sam Carrick was assigned to the Idaho Steelheads, but Brenner and Crescenzi are still in Toronto.
