Mikheyev to miss at least 3 months

"shooting"

"pucks"

Still, original reporting made it seem like he would even be able to pick up a stick until after the 90-day mark, so maybe this is a sign that he's healing quicker than anticipating. At the very least it's good to see him skating and keeping his conditioning up.

I'm no doctor but it seems like thats a very good sign. I can't imagine ligaments etc healing that quickly.

12 weeks puts him to March 21st. There would be 8 games left on the schedule at that point, including a game on that day. Unfortunately this doesn't seem like something he'll be able to return early from regardless of how he's feeling, but it's looking like he'll probably be able to play again right after that 12 week period ends.

Wrist looks good. And Mik brings a lot of other attributes like reach, skating and defensive IQ that are not necessarily contingient on the hand. I'd imagine after 3 months it's all about working oneself up to a pace that one finds in an nhl game.
