Watched Inside Llewyn Davis and now I need me some acoustic folk music. God I never knew The Boss could be so bleak.

*Edit SUCCESS!

I fixed it for you but then you took it down! Anyway the problem is for some reason youtube links often start with "https://", and the "s" throws off the youtube tag here. So just do exactly what you had previously but erase the s.

Scott Weiland died which is, if not altogether surprising, still sad. I really liked STP in the day.

Definitely sad. Had the opportunity to see STP a few years ago, and they put on an excellent show. When he was on, Weiland was a fantastic, charismatic performer.

Once they sort of shed the trappings of being a generic grunge-y band I think they're one of the few bands to come out of that scene that really did cool stuff after the initial hype.

Anyways, it's a bummer. I'm old. RIP Scott.

Yup. We're old. I felt the same way when I found out the Eddie Vedder turned 50 last year. That just doesn't seem right.

And, yeah, once they really embraced the blues-rock influence/background many of the band members had, STP really became one of the more interesting bands to come out of the early 90s. Definite bummer.

Ah man. I was a fan of STP back in the day as well. So sad he couldn't get over his demons.

We don't know the cause of death yet but he had spoken earlier in the year about having actually made a lot of steps in his recovery from heroin addiction. So it may not have been not getting over his demons, just that having the demons for so long took a serious toll.

You're right Nik; it's not fair for me to be presumptuous. I have to assume though that the damage done in his past at least contributed to his passing. Sad either way.

No, I was agreeing with you. I'm making that same assumption.

Ah, I see. I thought you thought I was presuming an overdose.

Anyway.... 48 seems both old and young. Old, because it's making me feel old that some of my heroes, like Vedder are 50, but so young to pass away.

A little late and probably a little Cliche.

But the unplugged performance of Plush is probably my favourite thing he did:
