Corey Tropp in 2010-2011 had 9 fights in the AHL. In 2011-2012 he had 7 fights. Last year he didn't really fight but he isn't exactly a guy with a perfectly clean record in terms of dropping the gloves.
You are bang on with your accessment of Tropp. I don't know if you only saw the fight totals of each year or did you see games played as well?
He only played 6 games last year (due to an nasty MCL and ACL injury he suffered in a single hit), all in the AHL and got in a fight (behind the play with play) with Albany Devil captain, 6'5" 220 lbs Jay Leach.
AHL history:
12/13 6 games played, 7 PIMs.
11/12* 27 games played, 46 PIMs.
10/11 76 games played, 113 PIMs.
*played 34 games in the NHL as well
