Preseason GDT 2: Leafs vs Flyers L4-0

Do I have to sign up for something to get the LeafsTV stream from the Leafs website? Don't know what to do...

Yeah you need to make an account or sign in and then 'buy' the $0 pre-season special.  It will take a name, address and phone number.  I put in my work building since it didn't like my condo building's postal code.

I'm surprised my Bell tethering is handling the 800 kbps stream pretty well (the network has been stupid congested for months, last year it would've done the 1600 kbps easily).

Is it saying that about the postal code?  You can try a downtown postal code like m5r 2m1.

If it's rejecting you based on geo-location of your IP you're screwed. :(

Yeah, then you're in the TV broadcast region, which often means online streams are blacked out.

These streams are making me go out of my mind.

Has two sound streams going at once. The other one stopped showing the game.

I thought it was the opposite, you need to be in leafs tv region to get their stream.

As far as the game I'm not liking how much they are relying on Reimer so far.

I know, when I tried with Center Ice, I couldn't get Leafs games if they were being broadcast on a channel I could get. A lot of services are like that - they online streams are ways to make money off people who can't get the station through their television provider, while they prefer those in the broadcast region to go with the actual broadcast. They make more money off advertising if they have more TV subscribers, so . . .

Though, they approved my postal code and, well, I'm watching the game on TV as we speak.

Right you won't get center ice stream since we are in tsn/cbc/leafs tv region.

Leafs tv streams to their own region for their games though.  Why else would they accept Toronto postal code and address?  I think it's a good option if it works well I might pay the $40 or whtaever for the season whereas I will *never* pay through the ass for cable and the needed package.

Geez better chances short-handed for Philly on our PP...

Figured it out but the stream is running like a turtle.
