Preseason GDT3: Leafs @ Flyers W4-2

Thanks, that was the other option I was going to check out.  Any idea whether they include HNIC Leafs games?

The only thing I can find about what games they do/do not show is the following:

Why am I unable to watch a game in NHL GameCenter LIVE??

A game may not be available to watch live or within 48 hours of completion if it meets any of the below criteria:
Your local team is playing and televising the game on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station's signal.
Your local team is playing and televising the game on a local regional sports network and your cable or satellite system falls within the distribution for that local regional sports network (regardless of whether your cable or satellite system actually carries that regional sports network.)
Your local team is playing and there is no local television coverage of the game
The game is being televised nationally - In the U.S., this includes NBC, Versus, and the NHL Network. In Canada, this includes CBC, TSN, and the NHL Network.

So, it seems like you'd be able to get all Leafs broadcasts unless they play a team that's local to you, or is on a national broadcast in the US.

Thanks AA, I just did some preliminary checking and saw that FAQ too.  I just shot them an email to ask specifically, we'll see if they answer.

I got every single HNIC on Gamecenter...but from Australia.

Interesting ... if I have to move Down Under, I will.

Haven't seen a game yet but judging from the highlights Rosehill's been working on not getting pummelled into the ground every time he fights, which is good for him.  I'd like to see him make the team as the 13th forward.  He's a lot better as an enforcer / extra energy-type guy than Orr is at this point - the latter just doesn't bring much to the table, and should probably be cut.

Side note - it's good to see that everyone stuck around after the server crash.  Tmlfans remains the best Leafs board on the net...

Rosehill did a great job on Shelley. Enjoyed the play of Frattin and Bozak again.

Still, will be good to have the roster trimmed down a bit as we go on.

Bozak looks a lot better so far.  He looks confident, a step quicker than last year and he has great chemistry with Armstrong.  I have a feeling that our 2nd line may take a small step back (in terms of goal production anyways) but I think the 3rd line will be a strength this year so it should offset it.

Yep, i'm hoping Bozak has a good year without all the pressure of being labeled the #1 center.  One year older and all that, he seems way more comfortable out there so far.

I agree and will add that having more depth pushes guys down the chart creating opportunities to have a good 4th line and also add some offense there as well. Dupuis has shown some offensive flair and good strong fore-checking ability, which when paired with the speed of Brown and maybe having Boyce down there also, could further improve the offense from the bottom six. We have the makings to improve the overall offense this season top to bottom IMO.

Kadri/ Bozak/ Armstrong
Brown/ Boyce/ Dupuis
Orr

I think that is how I'd like it to work out, having Orr dress only when needed and having some real ability to be a threat to also score on that 4th line when they inevitably cause turnovers with their fore-checking and speed.

Hyka thinks he's Ovechkin for scoring a pre-season goal lol. Go back in the draft.

Looks like I'm right :)

Yeah, but mainly because, since Hyka played in Europe last season and is still draft eligible, no team is allowed to sign him this summer.

Wasn't Philly eligible? Otherwise what's the point of having him at camp?

Nope. No teams were eligible to sign him this summer. As usual, the Flyers misinterpreted a section of the CBA.

?We misunderstood somewhere there when we were talking to the league,? assistant general manager Barry Hanrahan said. ?He came up into the system as a Canadian junior hockey player ? which he is.

?We can?t sign him because of [Section] 8.9 in the CBA. He played in Europe last year. It?s not where you are currently playing, it?s where you played the previous year.

?We were speaking with the league on whether he was a draft-related unrestricted free agent. Had he played in North America last year, he would have been unrestricted.?

That's hilarious.

10 games for Shelley (5 pre-season and 5 regular). Nice to see Shanny is taking more of a hardline stance than Campbell did.

Nice - hopefully some of these guys get the message.

Not quite as funny as Pronger but yeah, funny.
