Parise-Elias-x
Kovalchuk-Zajac-x
A guy like Josefson will probably cover for Zajac while he's out with an injury. And they've got some young guys who will fight for the right wing spots, or a guy like Zubrus or Clarkson maybe. Both left wingers will still get plenty of ice-time with Kovalchuk playing the point on the powerplay.

More of a number than I thought but if you look at the fact 5 are pre-season what does this really equate to?

I understand that Shanny is trying to set a precedent here, but at what point does it start getting ridiculous? I mean, I can't ever recall so many suspensions so quick? Is it the change in the rules? What are some opinions out there?

Hopefully it doesn't wind up like the interference calls from the refs where they still "call it all the time" when really they only call it when they feel like it after letting considerably worse offenses off.
