He's at 113 pitches and has walked 4, but Marco Estrada has a no-hitter through 7 innings pitched tonight against the Orioles.

I thought we went over this.

At what point do you actually start punishing the Orioles for throwing at Bautista.  It's like 4 or 5 times in a row now.  And the Jays are the only team to get guys thrown out of the game...including tossing Osuna in a ridiculous situation with runners on base and a 3-1 count in a close game.

Just throw up a super cut of plunks by the Orioles these past few years, and a table of stats onto your social media aggregator of choice to raise an evidence based outcry.

Anyone know where we can count up the ejections for both sides, the umpire of record, and HBP numbers?

Ahem.  When the Jays beat the NYMets in T.O. last Thursday, it was the Maple Leafs who got the credit for the win...

oh those Blue Jays.....  ;D  They sure do keep it interesting....

edit:  down 7-0, leading 9-7....  with this team, you just never want to go away, they don't know when they've been beaten...

And the bullpen coughs up six including four more by Cecil in the 9th. Two games in a row that they have entered the 9th tied and have ended up losing. Looks like the bullpen has reverted back to its pre streak suck.

Well it's hard to win games when your starting pitcher can't go two innings and the bullpen has to pitch almost an entire game.

But yeah, the rotation is a ticking time bomb. As bad as the bullpen is in tight games/pressure situations, Toronto badly needs an influx of strong starting pitching.

Another disappointing loss last night - Dickey was good through 7, but Archer was great through 8. Delabar gave up a homer in the 8th, which turned out to be the difference in another one run loss.

Tampa seems to have their number this year - Jays are 2-7 against the Rays.

It's pretty much why I didn't get as excited as I wanted to about their win streak.  Win 11 in a row and now are 4-5 in their next 9 games.  They just don't build on their win streaks.  The Jays need to find a way to win these types of series and climb the standings and finishing .500 +/- a few wins isn't going to do that.  At the start of the month they were 4.0 games out of 1st in the division.  Today they are 3.0 games.  So over this 20 game stretch they gained a single game in the standings.  They still sit in 4th place.

Also if you can, start watching today's game.  It's in the top of the 6th inning right now. :)

9 strikeouts....watch this.

Josh Donaldson....WOW.
And then damn on the next play with an almost perfect bare hand play by Donaldson.

7.1 perfect innings from Estrada.
