Someone better feed Kaleta his lunch.

I'm confused. By the entirely made up and pointless book of on-ice NHL justice, isn't Kaleta in the right for punching a guy who bowled over his goalie?

Can't wait to play a team that doesn't have a top-notch goalie.

Good teams beat good goalies.  That is just how it works.

Elite goalies also steal games.  That is how they come to be elite.

Of course, but good teams become good teams by beating teams of all calibers, the Leafs rarely beat good goalies, it is like a broken record, and a lot of these saves you see very little traffic.  You have to drive the net.

Yes, we haven't had very good teams for a number of years now.  None of that changes that they are still able to outplay another team and have the goalie steal the game.  Good teams don't just "heart" their ways to win - if a great goalie stonewalls them he stonewalls them.  Look at Halak versus Washington.

As noted, they beaten Miller quite a bit at home lately. But he is on his game tonight. They do need to get to the net though for screens or tips.

blah blah blah Miller.  Sure his positioning's been good but the Leafs are shooting directly at him. Liles' attempt to finish Kadri's pass was pretty pitful - low and back against his body toward Miller rather than high and into the gaping net.  They've got to put some traffic in front and start finishing their chances.

Good goalies are going to be harder but I think the Leafs do stink especially bad against them because there is no one screening shots.  The MSG video guy was talking about how every time they shot on the 5 on 3 the net guy actually moved out of the way.

We also seem to like to shoot it in to extended pads while the whole net is open above them.

Yep, one of the marks of a good team is that they're able to adjust against their opposition.

Ryan Miller vs some "good" teams last season:
Boston: 1.45 GAA, .957 SV%
NY Rangers: 1.28 GAA, .952 SV%

vs Toronto: 3.34 GAA, .884 SV%

Interesting.
