Game 9 - Leafs @ Rangers - Thursday Oct 27th 2011 - 19:00 EST - 4-2 Win

Anyone who is still in Gus' corner....why?  He has shown the same lack of confidence since he came to the NHL.  He doesn't position himself well.

He really has no confidence.  I dont think the team has much in him either.

What the excuse now though? He's gotten the starts recently. I think he needs to down to the Marlues for a stint.

I honestly don't think it's a confidence issue, rather, timing and adjustment ( to a few things ).

Frankly the feeling could easily be mutual though in terms of who has confidence in who.

Yeah, those are the goals that cannot go in at the kind of frequency we've seen Gustavsson allow them since he's been a Leaf. Not if Gustavsson wants to stay in the NHL after this season.

I understand defending Gus by saying he has made some big saves and the team hasn't necessarily performed well in front of him, especially defensively, but Damien Cox is right (shudder) in that eventually he's gotta play a game where he doesn't allow four or more goals.

Because he has the potential to develop an elite skillset and has experienced a tsunami of issues.

He gets run over well though, eh?

I mean, you can just watch Gus, he has trouble finding the post after he comes out of the net, he doesnt know his angles.
