Was tonight Gus's best game so far? Definitely one of his most composed and calm preformances I think, but he still had the ability to scramble when he had to.

Improves to 9-5 record as well, handy enough! (Take the Bruins out and he's flying )

If Reimer regains his form I think we're in pretty decent shape.  Gus is truly playing like The Monster right now.

Can't think of many teams in the history of the league that wouldn't take that from their backup in the first third of the season when their starter went down. Credit to the skaters in front of him too but he's certainly had a hand in it.

I can't help but feel for him at a time like this, since his father has passed away and all the fathers on the trip with the team.

He hasn't even got a mother who could fill in. Have to believe he missed them this weekend.

MSG was the site of a 7-0 thumping (6 goals against Jonas) that ended his season last year. So there was plenty of reason for trepidation in his two visits there this year.

Funny how he seems to have the Rangers number too.  You can tell he's confident in net against them.  Perhaps has something to do with the fact that Lundqvist is at the other end.

Last year, during the Dads' trip, a reporter asked him about it. He was sitting by himself while everyone else had their dad with them. (I haven't looked for the link and I'm not sure I could find it anyway). He was very supportive of the whole thing, saying it was "fun" and a "good idea".
