Habs @ Leafs - Mar. 22nd, 7:00pm - CBC, SN 590

Reimer did that "Rats!" thing with his head after the first goal went in.

GLG.

He did the same thing before the fourth goal when in. Way too often he seems to completely lose track of the puck. It's bizarre.

If Bernier's not ready I'd go with McIntyre tomorrow nite.

I'm onboard. Bring on the kid.

He's almost 31.

With all of 104 career minutes in net in the NHL. He's an excellent AHL goalie, but, expecting anything out of him at the NHL level is asking for trouble.

And, as poorly as Reimer played tonight, the rest of the team really needs to a better job of helping their goaltender out. With the way they've played over the last week or so, it really wouldn't matter who was in net. The Habs had the puck in high percentage areas all too often tonight - they just tried to do too much with it.
If McIntyre was on the Bruins though, he could probably be the next Tim Thomas.

Reimer bails out team all last season plus most of when he plays this season, nobody says anything.

Team can't bail Reimer when he has a rough 5 game stretch, the guys a bum who shouldn't be a NHL starter.

It's amazing how short people's memories are and how quickly they turn on some players.

It's definitely rough for Reimer.  And I was a huge backer of Reimer even when Bernier was declared the guy.  Unfortunately we need wins bad and Reimer isn't playing very well.

These guys are pros..and expected to play as such. Reims let's in a weak early goal and you can see the life sucked out of the team yet again.

But as badly as we played...I blame the horrjble reffing.
Lups punched in the face and no call, price has the puck in the trapezoid and no call.....then throw in the horrible call that cost us the game winner and you have  game not dexides as it should be. By the rules. I really hope that the nhl looks at some way to hold them more accountable as the current system clearly isnt working.

Montreal had one powerplay. ONE. Toronto couldn't kill off a single penalty. Yea, good luck on that whole Nhl holding them accountable thing.

Edit: Mon had two PP's. Really, the game was pretty even and mostly controlled by Montreal. Don't pretend like the Refs did anything to screw over Toronto.

Good point.  Reimer may be having a rough stretch, but I think he'll bounce back.  Even Lundquivst had a rough stretch earlier this year.

This is nothing like the Raycroft/Toskala fiasco of recent memory.

It's really about how he is playing right now. It's not that he is standing on his head and people are criticizing him. I would put all these last few losses on him. Giving up soft 2 goal leads before the 10 min mark of the first time and again? Come on.

Reimer hasn't been great, but the defensive play in front of him has been even worse. If the team tightened that up just a little bit, a few of the recent losses could have been wins. The number of wide open players in the defensive zone is more than just alarming, it's ridiculous. The goaltending isn't making up for the other issues right now, and that's why they're losing. These losses aren't on any one player - they're on the whole team, coaching staff included.
