Justin said:Nazem "The Dream" Kadri has arrived.
8 points in his last 3 games has made him soar to the top-10 in scoring. With 33 points in 31 games he sits 8th, and ahead of everyone in the NHL not named Getzlaf, Staal, Kane, St. Louis, Kunitz, Stamkos, and Crosby. With the exception of Chris Stewart, Kadri is also playing significantly less minutes than anyone else in the top 40 in NHL scoring.
Has Toronto's long-coveted 1st line centre been under our nose the whole time? If Kadri keeps up this PPG+ pace it's going to be hard to answer "no" to the question.
If he can build a little more strength and not solely rely on his agility he can be a true #1. You need that strength to contain other top players when you don't have the puck.
