Am I understanding that they can fit the new guys because Murray is on LTIR? What happens when he heals up?

They couldn't fit the 23 man roster with him on IR. When he's ready to go, Woll goes down and the Leafs will have about 570k in space.

Sure, but they don't need to do that to play who they have now.

This was the guy I wanted the Leafs to get, so I?m happy. Acciari is a nice add, too. Acquisition cost is substantial, but, if it leads to a good playoff run, definitely worth it.

Kerfoot is kinda bad though. I could see the Leafs adding another depth dman and throwing Kerfoot into the trade. You added 2 more NHL forwards in O'Reilly and Acciari you don't need Kerfoot

Kerfoot is kinda bad though. I could see the Leafs adding another depth dman and throwing Kerfoot into the trade. You added 2 more NHL forwards in O'Reilly and Acciari you don't need Kerfoot

I don't agree that he's bad. He's a decent utility player, really not all that different from Jarnkrok, and certainly better than virtually all of the bottom 6. Dumping long term roster players in season I think works a little differently in team chemistry than in a video game.

Yes he can come in playoff time. I think he still works out and I believe I saw a vid of him skating not too long ago.
This move screams he's not coming back until playoffs if at all.

I don?t think he?s accepted he?s done yet, but, yeah, the type of injury he has is not one to take lightly. He might be a maybe for next year, but, even that feels like a stretch.

He was supposed to get evaluated like now to last week in Feb. I think the Leafs already knew that he's done and that's why Dubas didn't wait until the deadline.

Yeah. ROR?s role will be much more defined than Foligno?s ever was. And, upgrading the 3C position was much more of a need than anything Foligno was supposed to bring. Even Acciari feels like a better fit than Foligno.
