Lines for tonight's opener:

Clune Nylander Brown
Panik Froese Hyman
Soshnikov Gauthier Frattin
Leipsic Carrick Leivo

Percy Brennan
Valiev Campbell
Loov Holl

Bibeau.

Kapanen is apparently sick and that's why he's out. But apologies to whoever I called nuts for suggesting that Clune might play on the Marlies top line with Nylander.

I don't get it.  Why is an anchor getting 1st line minutes.  While you certainly want to have some protection in your lineup, I don't think it actually should play on the top line....ever.

There are those that believe a clean and sober Clune isn't an anchor.

Those people are wrong.

Who is Rob Madore and why is he the backup instead of Sparks?

So that Bibeau and Sparks can start for Orlando and Toronto?

That's the only reason I can think of, unless there is an injury.

Kapanen is out with a virus, might be something going around other players too.

The Marlies play Saturday at 3pm ET against the Devils after having the entire week off, will be good to see how they look. Keefe didn't get a real camp with the guys sent down from the Leafs, so we will likely see them play a tighter game closer to what they want going forward.

I just got gamecentre live and thought the AHL games were available on it.
Anyone know if this is true or false as would rather watch the Marlies than the Leafs this year.

AHL has its own version of game center live and it's more than the NHL one. Your best bet is hockeystreams site, as they have all NHL AHL, CHL and IIHF games. I think it's around $100 for a year. I usually go with six months around this time of the year, which is $70, and it takes me until mid April which is the end of the season.

Hockey streams is not accepting new members or renewing existiing members seem to be having some problems with their credit card company on accepting payments.  So what are the other options until they sort it out?

It should work in the US, I think Patrick uses it in the US and I went on their site a few minutes ago on my iPad and it was letting me sign up, but I didn't do it yet as I've been using redditcom/r/nhlstreams so far this season for Leafs games, nothing like that for AHL yet though.

Have you tried recently to sign up to hockeystreams? Maybe it let me as I have an account with them, even though it's not premium right now, premium means I'm subscribed. Try paying via PayPal?

I use hockeystreams in the U.S. yes, they accepted me resubscription last month.

It shows all CHL, NHL and AHL games.

As far as I know they aren't accepting new members right now.
