The 2014 Toronto Blue Jays Thread

Might seem like a dumb question, but I've never really paid any attention to it before. Is the Jays dugout on the 1st or 3rd base line?

Given the disappointing Leafs collapse over the past month, I've been enjoying watching the Jays?was a little nervous early on today, but they looked great finishing out the game.

Just when things were going positive for the Jays so far this season, they lose another infielder to a non-baseball injury.

Maicer Izturis tripped on some steps before Sunday's game in Baltimore and tore his LCL. He is getting a second opinion on treatment, but surgery would have him out 4-6 months.

Un-fricking-believable.

So Travis Snider never put it together.  Kinda surprised by that one.

.788 OPS so far this year. Still, what, 25, 26? Not too late, I guess.

It hit his face in fair territory and was a double.

Yeeep:

@mattomic

Things that have injured Blue Jays players in recent years:
-Dugout steps
-Camera bay
-Catch with teammate
-Firecracker
-Blender
-Tumor

So I went to bed with the Twins leading 2-0 in the 4th, a runner on 3rd and Morrow being taken out of the game with 2 out. I'm not sure how the Jays managed to win 9-3 but I will take it!

*Edit- Lind left with back problems and is unlikely for today's game. This is where the absolute lack of bench and depth is really going to kill the Jays lonterm this season, methinks.

Probably won't even be a game today the way they were talking about the weather.

Another terrible outing by Dickey. Some will blame it on the cold, but he has only had one good start and now three poor ones. Five runs in the fifth inning and he was done - and he had escaped a couple jams earlier with nothing.

Hitters haven't done much in the first game, either - three hits through 6 innings, and trailing 6-0. Yikes!

To top it off Dickey's only had something like 3 runs of support in 22+ innings.  Not good all around.

Crazy considering how those pitchers were pitching entering this game:

@gregorMLB

Entering 8th inning, Loup/Delabar/Cecil/Wagner/Santos allowed just seven ER in 30 innings, 2.10 ERA. 0 inherited runners allowed to score.
