Oh well, the Italy haters are having their day.  :-\

Too bad for gli Azzurri.  This obviously wasn't going to be their year. 

Anyway, I would like to see the Netherlands win something (the Dutch people celebrate Canada's liberation of Holland during VE Day every year with much fanfare.  Much appreciated & passed on from generation to generation).

Besides, I used to know a few people from there, among the nicest I've met.

So, for me now, if it isn't going to be Italy, then let it be Nederland.  Hup Holland!

Suarez should be banned for the rest of the tournament, but it's FIFA and it's in South America so he'll probably be hailed a hero.

It actually was a penalty. The IC defender stuck his leg in as Samaras was trying to shoot. The leg clipped the foot which caused the foul.

The bite is all over the news everywhere, if FIFA doesn't suspend this guy for the rest of the tournament they're a total joke.  They would lose whatever shred of credibility they have left after all the years of corruption suspicions and badly reffed games.

Big deal.  If only the referee had given him a red card (& a subsequent prompt ejection), Uruguay would never have scored that goal.  It was Suarez's cornerkick afterall that set up their goal.  The score probably would have remained a scoreless draw and Italy would have advanced I it's group. 

Oh well, it didn't happen.
