Marner for Lindholm and Hanifin here we goooooo

Wonder why everyone is heading for the exits.  Maybe too little too late and the players have bitter tastes in their mouths?

Would Blake Wheeler have any interest in signing with his former teams most heated rival?

I'd actually be very intrigued by Wheeler at the right price. He's got some defensive warts in his game but a 6'5", 220 lbs winger with his playmaking talents could look nice beside Nylander who could move to LW (I've said this before but it's pretty remarkable that Nylander has gone his entire career without really playing with someone who's primarily thought of as a passer), or he could really drive a sheltered scoring L3 with maybe Matthew Knies on the other wing.

Hanifin would have been the guy I wanted the most from Calgary's probable upcoming firesale. Lindholm I like but strictly as a 2C type guy, so his cost both in terms of acquisition and possible extension would need to reflect that and I'm not sure it will. Toffoli too I think will end up being a little too expensive because of how low his current AAV and is how good he was last season, which is a shame because he'd be a great add. Backlund would be an intriguing option if he's also on the outs but obviously he's the oldest of the bunch so that'll always be a little worisome.

So Mangiapane and Andersson should some real targets for futures once the exodus picks up in earnest.

Hanifin going to Columbus lol

There doesn't seem to be much talk about Andersson being moved. If Conroy goes full rebuild with all these moves then I could possibly see him also being shopped and I'd go pretty hard on him. But my guess is they'll be moving these guys for deals that will keep them competitive.

I'm unclear. Are you making a funny?

Did you see post #2 on this thread?

Ok.
I'm not a fan of giving up the best player in a trade.

Or one the best playmakers in the league.

I?d first try and see what a return would look like on Nylander before I?d even remotely consider moving Marner. For most of this season and many stretches of previous seasons, he?s been our best overall player. Trade him? No thanks.

And if Nylander is the best player in the trade?

Is this question for me or Bulldog?

Personally, I?d have no problem losing Nylander even he was the best player in the trade if it was a return that balanced out the team better. I?m just not prepared to give up our best player to do it.
