I don't know what happened with Turris lately, but this could be a very good signing.

Yeah, I'd have been good with that for the Leafs if, say, they were moving Kerfoot.

Same. Even if it was just Johnsson moving. I'm good with Kerfoot going to wing.
Would've been good. Can't get em all though. Ah well.

I guess the biggest downside to Turris is his defensive numbers are awful and that's not exactly what we'd want in a 3C. Ah well. He'll fit right in with Edmonton.

Also we've still got our fingers crossed for Thornton.

Thornton feels like he's at the point where he will decide to play 5 minutes before the season starts.  I think he's content being in Switzerland right now.

I know he's been on a decline, but I thought he'd at least get more years than that.

I didn't. He's been below average for basically 3 years now. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have even given him the 2nd year.

To clarify I didn't mean I would have given him more years.

Mark Borowiecki had a career year last season. 7 goals, 18 points and a +1 on a lacklustre Ottawa team.

I don't think he'd be the worst pickup in the world to play 6/7. Especially with gudas off the market.

Well, he's not really that good defensively, which is the area the Leafs need to upgrade, so...

No room. He plays the left side and he's not that good.

He really seems like a genuinely great guy. I wish he was even just slightly better at playing hockey because then I'd be interested. If he wanted to take a max buriable contract knowing full well he'd be playing on the Marlies I'd do it. But yeah having him on the Leafs shouldn't happen.

A lot of guys playing 7D aren't that good. But he adds a dimension that the leafs simply don't have that they can't spend the money to get at a higher level. As Carlton mentions, a 2 way deal could have a lot of benefits to the org.

To be clear, I was actually just proposing 1-way deal where he knows full well he's getting paid $1mil just to play for the Marlies.

So just an incredibly more expensive Clune.

Well then you're wrong and should feel as bad as herman missing out on the seth griffith sweepstakes.

Yeah, if we are scraping the bottom 6 I'd rather throw Sandin to the wolves or even Rosen over Boro but if he's out 9-10th option, sure.
