Game 11: Leafs @ Jets 8:00 PM LEAFS TV

Angriest I've been was when we gave up a 5-0 lead in the third period to lose 6-5 in overtime to the Blues in 2000. Not sure why that bugged me more than the Tucker/Alfie incident; probably because I knew we had another shot against them.

Was that Boyd Deveraux's hat trick game?

No. That was the year the Devils rested Brodeur in the last game of the season against the Islanders, who won in a shootout to clinch 8th ahead of the Leafs. It was vintage Raycroft - exploding glove and all.

The maddest I was the Gretsky and Gilmour highsticking, fraser none call and maybe Domi cheap head shot to Niedermayer. Don't think I was ever mad for winning

This is what you get when you put two garbage teams out there to play eachother. The Leafs played like crap for about 57 minutes and managed to pull out a win against a team that is nearly as bad as they are. Good for them.

This is the maddest I've ever been after a Leafs game, and that includes the 6 shot debacle.

The maddest you've ever been is after a win in February?

Yes.

I was at that game. I was pretty mad, but still not this mad.

I remember that game.  I just about blew a vein.  But Tucker / Alfie raised the old blood pressure too.

BTW the 6-shot game was NOT 6 shots.  That was horsecrap from the NJ scorer.  One of the few times I agree with Cherry, he called BS right after the game.  I will bring this up everytime someone mentions that game until my dying day.

Not to deny it was an a-whooping, though.

Man, as a long-time Leaf fan, I sure wish I could make that claim too.

Jeez, Poni. 2 minutes for the Iron Sheik's camel clutch.

Rasslin' fan, art thou?

Enough to use it as a pop culture reference anyway.

Enough to know the Iron Sheik. 'Nuff said!
Sheik's a twitter legend. Holds true to his self-title "The Greatest Iranian Entertainer of All-Time" .

Hulk Hogan have the raisin balls.

Gotta love Poni's dumb penalty at the end of the game. It looks all too familiar for Leaf fans. Glad it's in our favour this time.

Find it strange so many are complaining about the Winnipeg fans getting on Reimer and Phaneuf. I know the fun thing to do at the ACC is sit on your hands all night, but why get all worked up over an excited fanbase having a little fun? Not to mention, mockingly chanting the opposing goalie's name is almost as old as hockey itself.

Nice to see Phil score, Bozak played another strong game and Kadri/Frattin keep creating.

Despite how much I hate Bowen and Millen (For the love of all that is holy, Joe, stop laughing at how hilarious all you guys are for half the broadcast), I think it was Millen who pointed out that Carlyle's defensive coaching is allowing the Leafs to hang around all game on the road and eventually be in a position to win. Now if they could only figure out what to do at home...

Still, I had very little faith in the Leafs when they were down 2-1, so it was a nice surprise win.

You mean his agent is a twitter legend, in Sheik's name ....

I said the same thing when it happened.  What a dumb penalty that was.
