The 2014 Toronto Blue Jays Thread

Good enough, perhaps the hamstring has been trouble most of the year.

Thoughts of Happ LHP vs Boston? I can only picture balls bouncing off and over the green monster all night.

With McGowan moved back to the pen, any thoughts on who becomes the 5th starter? Surely not this Valdes guy they just picked up.

They might try Rogers, like they did for a while last season. Otherwise, there's a couple guys in the minors that they might want to give a start or two, just to give them an idea of what the big leagues are like.

Good thing the Jays spotted Happ a big lead. As has been common for him, he doesn't get out of the 5th but leaves with a 7-4 lead.

Not really counting this one as in the bag yet.

In the bag, 7-4, Janssen with the save. :)

If the Jays keep this up, this summer might not be like watching paint dry afterall.

The pitching staff is going to have to get better for that to happen. The team really only has 3 starting pitchers right now. Thankfully, Dickey and Hutchinson seem to have found their game, but, still . . .

Well they do have a 3.93 ERA (going into yesterdays game).  They have to get better at going deeper into games, but if the rest of the AL East continues to have pitching issues too it might not be as big of a deal as it was before the season began.

+1

Wouldn't Ervin Santana look pretty darn good in the fourth spot right now?  Not a bad looking pitching line: 4-2; 52 innings pitched; 48 strikeouts; 1.23 WHIP

Happ still scares me.

Me too.  At least Esmil Rogers was DFA'd today.
